When you see your name in lights!

A few months ago we had the opportunity to advertise on some billboard space on Ayr Road between Newton Mearns and Clarkston. At first, we weren't;t 100 sure about whether this would something that would be worthwhile. They aren't cheap, and we have a tiny marketing budget compared to some of the bigger jewellers in Glasgow. However, after thinking long and hard about it, we decided that we would give it a go.

Before the age of the internet and social media etc. we would always market ourselves in the more traditional ways - including billboards and backs of buses. As the growth of Google kicked in, we knew we had to embrace Marketing in a Digital capacity. Always moving forward. : )

Our digital presence has improved a lot over the last couple of years, and we invest relatively heavily in that - however, there is something really nice about going back to the more traditional mediums.

(A marketer once told me it's all about the 'mix' anyway ... not sure we are all following that advice these days)

After the artwork process and approval it was time to get it posted up. Even now I'm using social media terminology - however 'Posted Up' it was! 
It was extremely satisfying to see our 96sheet Hodgkinson Jewellers billboard up in lights.

It was even more satisfying hearing from customers who had, for one reason or another, forgot that we were 'just down the road'.
